We are on Cloud Nine after our May 20th rousingly successful event, our inaugural EverWalk the LA River.
We had 607 registrants, our biggest public event to date.
Children, dogs, men and women of all stripes, were determined to put the heat of a 90-degree day aside and we all strode the 6.5 miles along the beautiful LA River, an event we will do at least yearly, in honor of the continued development of the 51-mile stretch of a no-car walk-and bikeway in Los Angeles.
The famous Border Grill truck awaited us at the end so fish tacos were the delicious lunch fare. Next time we plan on music and other festivities at the end, so we can all get to know each other in Atwater Park after our walk.
We also made the formal announcement of our second Epic EverWalk!
We take the first step, The Commitment, Sunday, September 10.
That will be from Copley Square, Boston.
And we’ll reach the Achieve Line Saturday, September 16.
Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
EverWalk New England. 150 Epic miles.
