Every movement goes through many incarnations. With the launch of the new EverWalk Nation Network, EverWalk enters an exciting new online phase on this website.
After our old website began to encounter some issues, we decided to upgrade it. This allowed us to think not only about what we wanted everwalk.com to do but also how we wanted to do it!
Originally one of our goals had been for everyone to be able to log in their miles each day on their profile pages. But after we created our Virtual Walker Tracker Program, everyone’s miles are now logged there on a leaderboard that updates every day!
Growing our Ambassador groups also created a shift in what we need and want to offer. So when our website encountered some severe technical issues, we used that as a prompt to rebuild.
After discovering that our old profile data had been corrupted, we realized that we had to start fresh. And as it all turned out, it’s been for the best. EverWalk Nation Network is a brand new place for EverWalkers to gather and connect online.
That’s why this week’s blog provides a brief overview of the Nation Network and what it offers to our EverWalk Nation!
The Nation Network is laid out very similarly to Facebook. The difference is that the Nation Network is safe and private. We maintain the site ourselves and do not share our mailing list with anyone. That means that our EverWalkers who choose not to be active on social media can meet here in a safe space. But it’s also just a fun place — even if you are also active on our Facebook group page. AND it’s the HUB of all things EverWalk!
If you have not yet joined the Nation Network, please visit the ABOUT THE EVERWALK NATION NETWORK page on this website. There is a video that walks you through joining, step by step. Click the photo above or click HERE to go to that page.

Once you have joined and created your profile page, you can set your preferences for what you want to see or not see, what you want to post and not post, and what notifications you’d like to receive by email. (It’s on your profile page.)
And. . .if all this sounds a bit complicated, we are offering live Zoom tutorials where EverWalkers can get together and learn the site with one of our EverWalk team. To sign up for one of the two upcoming sessions, please click this link: https://bit.ly/everwalknationtutorial
Once you have joined and created your profile page, there are lots of fun pages to visit. To find all of them easily, go to the upper righthand corner of the website. Look for EverWalk Nation. There is a dropdown menu underneath that which leads to all the main pages on the Network.
Here they are:
Member Newsfeed
- This is the place where you can find the most recent posts from other EverWalkers.
- You can also share your own posts. These can include photos from walks, stories about places you’ve discovered, technical tips, and articles that interest you. Basically anything that has to do with walking. We can’t wait to see what you have to share!
Ambassador-Led Walking Groups
- The Nation Network is the new hub for all of our Ambassador-Led Walking Groups.
- On this page you will be able to find (we are still uploading them) all of our Ambassador-Led Walking Groups. If you are a member, join the group. If you would like to become a member, join the group. If you’re planning to visit someplace and would like to connect with that group, join it!
- This is the place where our Ambassadors will post all their information about their walks!
EverWalk Book Club
- As you read in last week’s blog, we now have an EverWalk Book Club! Each month we’ll be reading a new book. Each week we’ll be sharing posts to guide you through your reading and the walks connected to the book. This is a place where we can all discuss the book before our final virtual Book Club meeting — which will take place on the last weekend of each month!
EverWalk Snapshot Club
- One of the most fun aspects of our Facebook Group page is sharing photos. So we’ve started a Snapshot Club on the Nation. Each week Bonnie or Diana will call out a theme. Please share your photos — and where you took them. It’s SO FUN to see where people are walking and what they’re seeing!
There’s much more to do and see on the EverWalk Nation Network. But one of its main purposes is to create a safe, private and fun space for EverWalkers to connect with one another. So to find other EverWalkers, go to the Members section and see who you find.
You can befriend people, send private messages on chat, and much more! As the Nation Network grows, we want to listen to what you like and don’t like so much. We want to know what works and what doesn’t. And we will do our best to co-create a the best walking hub in the world. So please reach out to us with any questions or comments. We’d love to hear them.
And once again, if you would rather learn about the site from an EverWalk tem member, please sign up for one of our tutorials in the coming weeks.

We can’t wait to see you on the Nation Network!!
